Creating a Fine in Follett (Media Paras, AAs, APs, and Principals)
- Under the Circulation Menu, Select Fines on the Left Panel Menu
- Search for the student in the Find Patron box (you will want to know the asset tag of the assigned Chromebook so you may want to look that up first)
- Once you have located the student, select the Add Fine button

- From the Reason dropdown menu, select the appropriate fine:
- Chromebook 1st incident Co-Pay
- Chromebook 2nd incident Co-Pay
- Chromebook 3rd incident Co-Pay (this one doesn’t have a price assigned to it since this price may vary. You can use it as a placeholder and then when Information Technology (IT) sends over the amount, you can edit the fine
- There are three charger fines if the student lost their charger - chose the corresponding model of the Chromebook to apply the correct fine
- Damaged - for students that opt out of the insurance

- In the Resource Item textbox, input the asset tag number of the Chromebook and Select the Go button (you will need an asset tag number for all reasons)
- In the Fine Notes textbox, input the ticket number and the parts that need to be replaced.
- Select the Save button
Managing a Fine for a Student
Marking a Payment for a Fine (Only AAs, APs, and Principals)
**In SchoolPay, follow the same directions that were provided by Becci Longstreth for Device Insurance
- Under the Circulation Menu, Select Fines on the Left Panel Menu
- Search for the student in the Find Patron box
- In the Pay textbox, insert the amount that is being paid and select the Update button

Waiving a Fine (Only APs and Principals)
- Under the Circulation Menu, Select Fines on the Left Panel Menu
- Search for the student in the Find Patron box
- Select the Edit icon (pencil) to the right of the fine

- In the Waived textbox, input the amount waived.

- Select the Save button
- Input the reason the fine is waived in the Fine Notes field.
